MISSION STATEMENT 

The Jackson County Land Reutilization Corporation, commonly known as the Land Bank, is a non-profit incorporated with the Ohio Secretary of State. Our mission is to make a positive, sustainable impact on our communities by strategically acquiring vacant and blighted properties and returning them to productive use, improving the quality of life for county residents. 

The Land Bank is accepting requests for the demolition and cleanup of additional blighted properties in the county.  The primary target areas are in or near the cities and villages, but township properties are encouraged as well.  Owners of such properties, both residential and commercial, may contact John Stabler at 740-286-2838, or email JacksonCoLandBank@gmail.com to request a voluntary consent for demolition form.   

Demolition and cleanup of 32 properties that are part of the Land Bank's most recent project is complete. The demolitions are funded from the Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Grant administered by the Ohio Department of Development.  

We are currently preparing for another round of projects and currently have 37 sites being reviewed.  The Land Bank Board will review these sites after the Ohio Department of Development approves the list.  If you have a property that you wish to be considered, please download a copy of the consent for demolition form or request on at JacksonCoLandBank@gmail.com.
